I've been playing drums since Jr. High. I've always wanted my own set of custom drums but I could never afford the high price that came with them. Over next few years, I decided I would build my own. After many failed attempts, I finally made my first complete stave snare in 2018. As I continue to improve my building technique, I learn more and more about the instrument and the wood that makes one.
